CODE OF CONDUCT

At EIT Food, we assume that most people are intelligent and well-intended, and we’re not inclined to tell people what to do. However, we want every event to be a safe and productive environment for everyone. To that end, this code of conduct spells out the behaviour we support and don’t support at our conferences.

EIT Food is dedicated to providing a harassment-free event experience for everyone, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices.

Inappropriate behaviour can take many forms such as slurs; jokes; derogatory statements; foul or obscene language; offensive clothing; leering; stalking; staring; gestures; pictures, drawings or cartoons; violating personal space by impeding or blocking another person’s movement or otherwise physically interfering with them; harassing photography or recordings; unwanted or offensive letters or poems; offensive email or voicemail messages; or social media postings.

We therefor do not tolerate harassment of event participants, or any inappropriate behaviour in any form.

We expect all participants—attendees, speakers, sponsors, and staff—to follow the Code of Conduct during the event. This includes event-related social events at off-site locations, and in related online communities and social media.

Event participants violating this Code of Conduct may be expelled from the event at any time, and/or banned from future events.

If you are witness, subjected to inappropriate behaviour, or would have any concerns, then please bring this to the immediate attention of EIT Food staff, or contact us at venturesummit@eitfood.eu

We invite you to help us make EIT Food a place that is welcoming and respectful to all participants.
